Kristopher Hull is a New York City pianist, performer, and creator best known for transporting a custom-mounted 1964 Baldwin upright piano through the streets of Manhattan in search of unexpected moments.

Long before the piano became his calling card, Kris lived a life shaped by movement and exploration. Raised overseas in Kenya and Greece, he spent years traveling, working, and living in places as varied as Fiji, Berlin, Tangier, and Brooklyn. He has sailed across the Atlantic Ocean, pursued competitive cycling at a high level, and developed a lifelong fascination with the intersection of art, adventure, and public space.

Those experiences ultimately inspired the creation of the mobile piano.

Part performance, part public artwork, and part modern-day quest, the project draws inspiration from Don Quixote—the belief that pursuing seemingly impossible ideas can reveal something meaningful about the world. Mounted on a custom-built steel frame and weighing nearly 500 pounds, the piano has become a familiar sight throughout New York City, appearing everywhere from Central Park and Times Square to film sets, television productions, weddings, brand activations, and cultural events.

Over the years, Kris has collaborated with street artists, filmmakers, photographers, musicians, and creators from around the world. His performances have been featured by major television networks, international media outlets, and social media collaborations reaching millions of viewers. Whether performing for a film production, a corporate event, a wedding, or a chance encounter on a city sidewalk, his work is guided by the same belief: that art has the power to transform ordinary places into unforgettable experiences.

Today, Kristopher continues to push his piano through New York City, creating moments of connection between strangers and bringing music to places where it is least expected—and often most needed.
